Another quickie, 11 wk 4 d

I had my first appointment with the "regular" OB today. Actually, it was with the nurse practitioner. I ended up changing my OB after reading some of your posts and comments and so far I am very happy with the new clinic. I heard the heartbeat with the doppler today. It was such a relief as is every time I have evidence that there is a real, healthy baby inside me. Thanksgiving day will be 12 weeks and I am so looking forward to that day. We will finally tell everyone we can that I am pregnant. I have been tempted to start sooner but hold myself back out of fear. We've made it this far we can wait a few more days. I have only gained 2 pounds so far but my belly is starting to stick out (more than usual). Only 3 more nights of shots in the butt and gel up the cooch and sticky squares on my belly, I am so happy about that. Although, I am a little nervous to stop cold turkey. More later!

congrats on (almost) 12 weeks! how perfect that thanksgiving is the big day!! and don't worry about giving up the progesterone, we're all nervous about it but it always works out just fine. peep junior is making all he/she needs by now.

That hard evidence is so reassuring! I say tell whenever you feel like it. 12 weeks is not really that much of a magic number. You could call 8 weeks with good measurements just as magical (those that don't look good at 8 weeks usually don't last much past 12 weeks)

Stopping cold turkey does sound rough. I am supposed to taper off my progesterone, and I am struggling to make the break.
